Alpharetta, GA – April 28, 2008 Cajana, Inc., a longtime Oracle | PeopleSoft consulting firm specializing in enterprise application architecture, application hosting, and the public sector, today finalized an agreement with Oracle to resell the software giant’s application suites to end users. The agreement will allow Cajana to acquire and finance application licenses on behalf of their customers, and provide application hosting and managed services for the applications. By bundling the cost of the license within the monthly hosting fees, the traditional up-front license expense is eliminated, making it possible for customers who normally could not justify the expense to access world-class applications from Oracle. Brian Ellis, Cajana’s CEO, sees this as a boon to state and local government, higher education, and K-12. “The ERP Holy Grail for so-called mid-market organizations is software-as-a-service [SaaS]. SaaS eliminates most of the initial investment you normally see for ERP applications, and allows a typically capitalized expense to be classified as operational.
